Truck is 98.5 2wd dually auto. Just replaced in-tank lift pump with brand new unit from mopar. New filter. Also replaced plastic lines at the tank due to the feed line being kinked. Running between 8-10 psi at idle and 4-5 psi loaded. To me this seems low, any ideas?

Yes, replace as many of the banjo fittings as possible. They are a major restriction even on a 100% stock truck. The big line or relocate kit from Geno's Garage will make a big difference. Before the kit I had 6 to 8psi at idle, 13 psi after. Full throttle came in at 4 before and 12 after.

they say pressure is not important w/ the in tank pumps.
the flow is adequate for a stock engine

Thats about right. Remember its all about volume not pressure. The in tank conversion will kits always have a lower psi but also have a more solid delivery. The in tank pump is a pusher where the engine mounted pump is a puller.

The engine mounted pump is a pusher style also - just some dum _zz engineer put it in the wrong place

If his truck has had the factory relocation warranty repair done previously, it has the in tank pump.
Mine was just done last August and holds a steady 10 psi. The Dodge tech says this is enough. After the warranty expires I'm going to upgrade to an aftermarket system.
