New injectors.... installed
Hey guys,
well I was out in Mass the other day so I decided to stop in and see Scott at Mass Diesel. So of course he talked me into dropping a couple bucks (funny this always happens when I go out there)and he had Don M overnight me some new Bosch injectors with Flux 2 tips. This is the 3rd set of injectors from Don and what can I say... It wont be the last!
The truck runs absolutely perfect! It idles smooth as silk way better then it did with the stockers. I drive 102 miles each way to my plant each day and I fuel up each day before I leave and the truck uses 2 gallons less per day then it did with the stock injectors. The throttle response is better then it was with the stock stix it has less smoke and egts are easy to keep under control and the power is absolutely incredible. I have to tell ya I love the way the truck runs. This is the best combo so far!
Thanks Scott & Don !

How do the Egt's compare to when you were running the stock injectors? I was thinking of getting some stix's but I'm always towing and would not want to increase my temp's at all. Any thoughts?

trx,
The egts are lower then the stokers. I tow alot but haven't towed since I put in the new injectors but don't see why it would be any different. I just dropped of a cube of blocks to a competitor's plant tonight. The cube weighed 4900 lbs and the trip was 108 miles. I did drop the Smarty down to 3 from 9. Going up a couple long not real steep inclines I managed to hit 1200 deg but as soon as the turbo hit about 40 psi the temp was on it's way down and I was over 90mph. The truck just runs perfect.
Take care,

Scott had suggested the flux 2 and I wasn't sure if I wanted them but I went with what he suggested and I am very happy I did. I can run the Smarty on 9 and my Silver 62 can keep the egts pretty much under control. The power is awesome.
