There are so many different opinions from everyone here. Not saying any of them are wrong or right. The only oil filter I would most tell you to stay away from is Fram oil filters. Other than that grab a good cup of tea and do some searchs and read away at everyones thoughts.

I use Wix filters and Rotella-T dino oil changed every 5K. Most of the guys on here stick with Fleetguard filters (Cummins), but I've used Wix exclusively with all of my vehicles and had no problems.

You can do one stop shopping on Genosgarage.com.
I get all of my fleetguard filters from them.

I still haven't heard one good excuse on why you shouldn't be using a Fleetguard 3894 oil filter.....oil is another story....there are many high quality oils on the market these days for our CTD's that have great additive packages and meet and/or exceed Cummins specifications. I use Shell Rotella T.

Third.

Cheapest place around for Fleetguard oil and fuel filters. Reasonable shipping too.

I use Rotella T also.
