New Gauges Added

I just added gauges to my '06- EGT, Boost and Fuel Pressure. I have a manual Tranny, so no tran temp needed. I ordered the guages from Geno's Garage, they are Westach gauges. What I liked was Geno's has a pillar available from an SRT-10, with a spot for a single gauge. Geno's sells a combination Boost and EGT gauge. This worked great! I then ordered a steering column mount for an electric Fuel Pressure gauge.

A couple of things I learned:
1. While older trucks "require" a fuel pressure gauge, on the '06 and newer is more of an option. When ordering the gauge, make sure you get the banjo bolt for the fuel filter cannister. On the '06, you simply remove the banjo bolt from the bottom of the filter cannister and insert their threaded bolt. Connect a Vulcan line or a grease gun hose, then to the sending unit.

2. For the boost gauge, you will need a "Boost Bolt" that threads into the intake. Geno's sent me the barbed hose fitting, I had to re-order the boost bolt, after that, a piece of cake.

The gauges are very responsive, match nicely with my stock instruments and I still have the grab handle. Now that I know what my baseline is, I can order a Smarty, Jr before I start towing my 5th wheel this summer.

Looks good, but man I would be confused at first with the crossing needles.

It is kind of strange, especially when you get into it a little and they both meet!
