New fuel?

Since my truck mostly does weekend duty, it is just getting around to its first tank of the new diesel fuel. What is everyone doing to ensure their pump seals, fuel pumps, etc... do not go bye bye? I have always used PS, but I am thinking of adding 2 stroke or MMO to supplement.

I use Stanadyne Performance Formula. 1 ounce for every 4 gallons. Or...if you're like me and want a little extra insurance, 1 ounce for every 3 gallons. I've heard that that's all you need for the ULS diesel fuel. I've had no problems anyway.

Living in a town without a big rig shop close, where else might one find Stanadyne?

I buy mine at the local Dodge dealer. A very competitive price as well...surprising. I've ordered it online from Southeast Power Systems...www.se-power.com. Almost all the diesel online shops sell it. Prices vary. I like the 1/2 gallon size. Treats 240 gallons. Goes for about $20. I've also in the past got a case of the one pint bottles.

I get my stanadyne at the local SCHUCKS (I think they are the same company as cragger/auto zone) for about $8.00 a bottle.
