The DTR is expanding - We've added new forums for GM and Ford diesel powered trucks as well as update the DTR logo!
Get to the GM forums here (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/yabbse/index.php#10)
Get to the Ford forums here (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/yabbse/index.php#11)
Talk about the new forums and logo here (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=17118)
Go check 'em out, and don't forget to let all of your non-CTD friends know that there's now a place for them here on the DTR.
Thanks
DTR Staff
When I had the 7.3TD crewcab(nice truck, no power) I hung out at Ford-Diesel.com
When I had the 6.5TD (nice truck, even less power), I hung out at 6.2-6.5Diesel.com.
Now I've got my CTD (nice truck, LOTS of power!), and I hang out here.
Well, what's the updated logo look like? When will the decals be available? Huh....huh? ;D
Since I've been here, this site has done one thing extremely well, better than any other site I have ever visited. I think that the question of the day is: can this site do three things as well as it has done the one thing? I hope so. Or is it just doing that one thing, three times? I'd better stop before I confuse myself even more. [eyecrazy]

Pull up in the parking lot at work, brand new D-Max, now this? :o At least, I guess I can turn this guy onto the site. He is an ex-Dodge 1500 driver. Think he is wanting to loose his motorhome and begin towing.

I think this is going to be fun, to be honest. We just have to remember to keep our cool in terms of the flame wars etc. I think it's a great way to learn about ALL of the diesels. I still want to know about all three, not just Dodge.

Love the look and am glad the additional forums were added. Now I guess it is time for me to break down a buy a sticker. T-shirt would be nice too. Maybe the TOM committee could award a t-shirt or something?

OOOOH Won't Hoss be thrilled?!!!! [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]<br>Now he'll have someplace else to post besides the other board!<br>This should be pretty cool, since I also have a 7.3 PSD, and I was wondering if there was a site like this one available for it. Now I guess there is!<br>

I'm like whiff, have a PSD Excursion, too. But, what I'd like to see is separate forums for each diesel type like the old board. It's going to be<br>harder for people to respond to help requests, and lots of the things in the general category are specific to each brand. At least that's the way it<br>seems to me, especially in the high performance section. I do appreciate the site, though, it has helped me alot.

It's good to try and reach 32,000 members & raise those advertising dollars.
Question: Are we going to have 3 "Trucks of the Month" too? Looking forward to the first Powerstroke or Duramax to get selected - blasphemy @ dodge-diesel.org.

If everyone keeps the site rules in mind (See site rules posted HERE (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/yabbse/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=17118;st art=0) scroll to the bottom of page one) then we shouldnt have too much trouble.
But just in case, we Moderators just got a new supply of locks.

Just a question,,,,,,,,,,,,
When you happen to be sitting in the truck waiting for your wife to come out of the store and a guy pulls up in a different truck brand beside you and parks while his wife goes into the store. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, If this guy decided to strike up a conversation concerning diesel trucks,,,,,,,,, do you immediately start bragging on your brand and bashing his?
I don't think so,,,,,
In fact, in most cases, the only place I've seen this kind of behavior is when someone is behind a computer keyboard or a CB microphone. (Notice I didn't say it can't,,,, doesn't happen,,,, BUT,,,, I think that most folks in every day life have a little more respect for others than that. That is the one reason that I am proud of the membership on this site,,,, They do have the respect of their fellow members. Even when folks are not always in agreement on various topics.) ;D

As a matter of fact, that just happened to me a couple of weekends ago.
A very nice Ford owner and I had a pleasant converation about the ups and downs of both brands.
His wife drives a 2000'ish Dodge and she wants to lift it, so he was asking me about my lift, and what I recommended.
Conversation drifted to BOMBing both brands and problems the new Fords have and what ones he has experienced, etc.
Very civil on both our parts and a very interesting exhange of ideas.

"No, but if I want some Kentucky Fried Chicken, I don't go looking for it at Taco Bell." [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]<br><br>Now THAT is a classic response! Sometimes the one-liners beat the book-length stuff...<br><br>I'm the same way - I like the Mexican food, Itallian, and too much of the rest, according to the bathroom scales - and though I know perfectly well where the various specific types of food outlets are located - and manage to visit them all from time to time. I *dern sure* don't need to be faced with a buffet where all the various menu items are randomly mixed. THEN begin slowly sifting thru the UNwanted stuff to find those I do want... If this site can manage to segregate the "latest posts" feature, that will go a long way towards keeping the "menu" shorter and more responsive to the areas some of the users are primarily here for - no Big Macs mixed in with the Sushi.... ;) ;D ;D

Has anybody else here owned all three varieties of diesel pickups? I had a Ford F350 dually crewcab with a 7.3TD. Then I owned a 3/4 ton GMC with the 6.5TD. Both were really nice trucks, but they didn't come close to my current ride.
