Hi, new to the Dodge and to the site. I just bought a 97 3500 (auto / 4:10) and am planning on hauling a 4k pickup camper and pull a small boat. Wondering what some of the easy and cost effective mods would be. Not opposed to spending a little cash..1000$ to 1500$ Truck has 73,000 on it, I've been looking around and haven't come acoss any thing that lays out beginner mods, might I have missed something?

Welcome to the site!!

First off, you have a 12 valve, which means you are under valved , but do not have VP-44 injection pumpitis. The 12 valve truck produce crazzy power and run well.

I have a 24 valve truck, but you can search for 12 valve performance upgrades. Lots of guys post about changing the timing (something about a plate) and turning a star wheel to increase power.
