New to diesel truck
I'm new to diesel truck I'm look at a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Manual 12 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel, 5 spd. Clean, Straight, Rhino Liner, Gooseneck Hitch, with 122k for mileage for 16500 is that a good price thank you for any info

The '98 12-valves are considered the "golden goose" by most, being the last year of the 12-valve and all. If I where you I would get it now! Not many were made in '98. With the mileage (just now broken in good ) and with it being a manual you could get all the power you want. The price sounds OK to me also, just make sure to check all the normal parts that wear the most(in the drive train).

It sounds a little high but you can always work them down. It all depends on the condition of the truck, I would take it to a dealer or a good shop and have it looked over.

Just do a search on this site for KDP and you'll get all the info you'll ever want to know. As far as the engine, it should be fine. Just look for leaks and maybe get a dealer to look at it or a good diesel shop.
