New Clutch Install

Hey guys, I recently acquired a barely used stock clutch from a 93 model pickup. Mine is about to bite the bullet (I wonder if my mods have something to do with that ) I have the alignment tool and the clutch. The slave and master cylinders are almost new... My question is do I need anything else besides the pilot and throwout bearing? Just want to make sure before I tear into this thing in a couple weeks. Also, how heavy is the getrag? And is it easy to maneuver into and out of position? I'll be doing this on a garage floor so I don't want it to kill me

PS.. I'll be getting my flywheel turned. How much of it (diameter) will I need turned down? I can't remember if 93's have the 12 1/4" like mine or if its the 13". thanks for your time gentlemen
Dan

The getrag will come out easially! be cautious, It is heavy! You may want a block of wood and a small jack to GENTLY lift the front of engine so that the bell housing will clear the fire wall, I needed help to get the Rag back onto the jack when it was time to reinstall,
The entire flywheel gets turned! No matter the disc size! Get a good place to do it!
Throughout bearing and pilot bushing while you are in there!
And i am hoping that the "barely used" clutch comes with a pressure plate as well, If not, Just buy a whole new assy! Any why just barely used???? To much power from PO??? Dont use, Buy new! You only want to do this job once if possible!
Peter.

Thanks for the tips! I got this from a friend of a friend who (I think the story goes) bought a reman getrag and it came with a new sachs clutch. Then he bought a stronger clutch for it and didn't want this to go to waste. So, it was free! And I'm sure it will hold the power I have right now... at least for awhile anyway. Also, it is the pressure plate and friction plate, complete unit! This couldnt have come at a better time bacause my stocker is finally wearing down pretty good

The Sachs will bolt right up, there will be no issues with the bolt pattern. Just get the flywheel cleaned up so the clutch has a fresh surface to work with.

It will hold over 300 HP, just don't get it hot. They slip when they get hot, but they hold just fine if you let 'em cool off.
