New Chevron Delo 400
So, I have been using Delo 400 since I bought my truck 6 years ago and changing the oil every 6000 miles. I went to buy some to change my oil this weekend and noticed the price dropped from $10.50 to $8.50 a gallon and now says LE on it. On the back it has that lower CJ-4 tag for emissions compliant oil. Is this the same Delo I have always used? Low Emissions usually means less viscosity/protection no? EPA is ruining everything.

Since the change to CJ from CI+4, oils for our 5.9 definetly got worse for TBN.
The best CJ seems to be Valovoline PB, with a 10.5 TBN rating, or so. It is also recommended by Cummins. I think 4-5k change for CJ is what most folks do, as the oil is not as good with their additives. There is still some CI+4 around, like at some tractor places. Do a search, there is info out there.
