New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

Still having trouble finding that truck in the NE. I would love to take advantage of the $2500 rebate offer.

If anybody sees one at a dealer let me know...

Thanks, enjoy the holiday....

Get a 2004. 1000 rebate. The 2003 have taken well over 1500 in deprecation by now. Also new rebates come out on 9/3. I think they will do more than 2500, i think ford and chevy are doing alot more.

Re:New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

rjweis, In Greenville, there is Big O Dodge, he has about 5.

Benson Dodge has about 5 and McKinney Dodge always has between 5 & 10. Now this is of course only CTD's. They all have tons of gassers.

I always buy at Benson. No hassles and reasonable service dept. If your interested, I'll give the name and # of the sales guy I use.

Did you ask CumminsLuke, He alwasys eems to have a lot in stock?

Re:New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

Ron, here is the dealers name and number.

Benson Chrysler Dodge: 864-877-1291, or, 800-767-0724

Ask For Jim Thompson. Older guy, plenty of experience, Zero pressure. Just tell him what you want and if they don't have it, they will find it.

Let me know if I can help further. THe other two dealers are very close to this one. Big O is Okay, don't recommend the 3rd. Although they have a huge inventory.

A trip to NY for it's maiden run, is a good break in trip.

Re:New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

Ron, I just drove past there. They have 10 CTD's in stock, but I am not sure what your looking for. THey have some dually's, some long and short beds, 4x4's etc all 4 doors. I didn't get out and look at any. Just drove thru.

Good luck

Re:New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

I'm looking for 03 Quad Cab, SLT, 4X4, SB, HO Diesel, Auto, with anti-slip.

Jim seemed to think he had two, so we will see. The only difference he said was small trim details and one was a 4.13 and the other 3.73 axle.

Interesting decision would be what axle too choose, one would be better for mileage the other for acceleration and towing. I think I would go for the 4.13, because some of the diesels I drove with the lower axle were a little weak off the line.

Re:New 03 2500 HO SLT Auto Quad 4x4 SB ??

I have the 3.73 rear, 6sp and HO. The accel is great. If you check mileage comparrisons, a very hot topic on here, you'll find that most agree, mileage really drops with the 4.10.

Unless you are going to tow ALOT, I'd stay away from the 4.10. I never tow and get 21.6 mpg at 75 mph. If I go above 75 it really start to drop.

Guys with the 4.10 seem to be able to only manage around 14 or 15 mpg without towing.

Also, if you buy one down here, be sure and insist they check ALL the fluid levels, in your presence, before you leave. Rear axles are notoriously low on fluid. That dealer is pretty good though. I have bought several from him.

2 cents.

Ron

I should add, don't expect real good mileage in the begining. These trucks take A LONG time to break in. THey will make all kinds of changes in the first few thousand miles.
