I have read on other boards that the ECM will raise the RPM of the engine whenever it is below 175 to prevent cylinder washing from happening....so my guess is 141 ~ 175 or less

thanks I had been wondering that cause mine will idle at around 220* when its in the seventies and have seen it as low as 185 when it was in the teens with a warm motor.
On a side note, my digital guage seems really accurate and instant cause it will show you the temp change almost by cylinder as it idles. Ok probably not but it does show every revolution the motor makes, you can see every time it hits the dead spot in the motor and temp drops.

Educated Estimate
Diesel fuel is listed as a combustible liquid....Combustbile liquids have a flash point above 141' F...Gasoline on the other hand is a flammble liquid, flammables have a flash point between 99-140'F...Extremely flammable liquids (ether) have flash points below 99'F
End of Haz-Mat Tech A...Any questions??
