I was hoping to make it through winter with the old coopers but it's not going to (safely) happen. I'm looking at either the wrangler at/s or Dunlop radial rover RVXT. I don't need an aggressive tread but wear is pretty important. Here are their respective links on tire rack...

I had the Wranglers AT/S before and liked them a lot. Last winter they had been already worn down but had very good traction. Enough for me to want another set, so I went and bought these:

I love them and highly recommend them.
I have a Dunlop Radial Rover as a spare. Somehow it feels that the rubber on it is stiffer than the one on GoodYears. It is not a new tire though, so that might be subjective. But after driving through 2 ft of snow on fairly warn Wranglers without any problems, I don't want a lesser experience.

P.S. Tire rack does not have the best deal on Silent Armors though. They want $209 each and $125 shipping (still better than the local shop). But I found mine online for $189 each + free shipping, then mounted them for $30 for all four. Can't beat that.

My vote goes for the silent armors, everyone keeps saying what a great tire they are. I may get those when my bfgs wear out.
