I need some help

I am looking for the dimension from center to center of the stock control arms for 4x4 second gens. I plan to build a set of arms with ballistic joints and DOM tubing, much like the arms sold by Don Thuren. I am running a tough contry lift with lengthened arms now but soon want to take the lift off to run d25s with my bilstein 5100s. Should be a better ride/handling then stock.

Lots of good reviews on the D25s as far as ride but some say they will sag down to stock height.

I figure you can buy almost 2 sets of d25s and the dual shock brackets for the price of the Carli variable rate coils sold for $440

top are 17" and the bottom are 19". The Carli springs are pricey but man do they ride nice. I think the rear mini pack was the biggest change. Good luck.

thanks so much man. I am really more concerned with the steering response and tightness more than a soft ride. I have a good amount of play in the wheel right now. I was lead to believe that the DSS or BD stabilizer wouldn't work with my lift so I have a really bad movement in the sector shaft and no DSS yet. I have had times when the bolts come loose on the arms im runing now and you could move the tire front to back a inch with your hands while parked.

The ride was always good till the bilstiens really that made it noticeably stiff/bouncy in the front or maybe the front OE springs gave up about the same time...

Im gona have a good bit into the arms so not sure If I will be able to get the carli springs or not, I figure I can get out for 450 or so beats the 620+ shipping for don Ts arms.

thats the bad thing about this, No one realizes how bad there ride or steering really is till that day when they put in the carli parts or kore's
I bet if you gave a D25 user carlis they really would like the price after they ride on them.
