Need some Help
Alright, I bought another CTD,it is a 98 12 valve. The problem is that it is leaking oil from behind the gear case where it bolts to the block. I have it all tore down,I just cant get the cam gear off. I have tried all the pullers that I have and have come up short. Not sure if it takes a special puller or not. Hoping someone could give me some insight.Thanks, Tim

Wouldn't it be better to pull the cam? After all, if you get the gear off, how will you get it back on? FWIW, when I had mine done it was a perfect time to install a PDR cam.

Yes, the cam needs to be pulled. I imagine if you really tried you could get it off, but I remember reading here that it's not supposed to come off. KD
