going to get a 96 2wd 5speed reg cab this week and not sure what kinds of things i can do to it i know i need to upgrade the clutch. what are some other things that i can do to it on a budget for now. also on my 04 i had to upgrade the lift pump so how are the pumps on the 96 12V. i was told that the injector pump was bullet proof.

There is many things you can do to your truck on a budget. New fuel plate or grind your own, gsk 3-4, BHAF, do a search on these and there is endless amounts of info on here. As for the lift pump it is mechanical and should be good for along time.
