Need opinions LINE-X?
Rocker panels are a little dinged up from rocks. Been thinking of getting them coated.
I have a photochopped pic w/ black on the bottom. I can get it done for $175 per side. The line-x guy told me that it wouldn't fade like rhino liner and would stay glossy. What do you think?

I like the idea. I need to get a little bit of body work done along with some stock fender flares and I'm going to have it done to my truck. I think it looks good.

Thats how mine is....
Get yours done, then get bumpers, headache rack and toolbox and your truck could by my trucks grandchild =D
My .02¢, make sure you go to a good line-x dealer. Some do better jobs than others. Ask around. Ask how other peoples spray jobs are holding up.
Also, make sure that it gets sprayed on good and thick, even under the lip of the body. If its too thin it will flake over the years.
As for staying glossy, i dunno about that one. Perhaps the chemical recipe of the spray has been changed but when mine is washed its about a flat black...BUT...spray some ArmorAll on it after a good washing and it'll shine with your wheels =D

I'd like to have some pocket style flares but I'm not shelling out the $$$ for them
Probably going to end up adding a black open face grille.
I would like to have the bumpers done but my line-x guy said I would need to have the chrome blasted off first and wanted another $150 per bumper.

Go for it!
It is a must do if you plan on keeping your truck for a long time...
unless you like bodywork!
I agree it is all about the prep work and how well it is sprayed, not the product.

not true...
I have line-x and it faded over the first year I think??..It was a pretty slow process so its kinda hard to remember when it became noticable. I tried armorall on it and it looked great then I jumped over side of the truck bed and almost fell on my ***. It gets pretty slick and the guy who put it in told me it would if I used armorall but of course I knew better. The shop did tell me that they do sell a restore spay to get its shine back but I've been to lazy to try it. I don't regret getting it though because you can be really rough on it without any worries and my buddy got rhino liner and it chips occasionally. Just wanted to let you know it will lose its shine but it is still a great product and just try the spray at the shop.

^^ true. Be sure under any surcumstance that there will be a warranty coverage for fading. I have a truck with line-x and my dads truck has line-x and they are only like 2yrs old and they are faded. Ask about some kind of special coat that keeps it black longer.

nationwide lifetime warranty. New addative is called "XTRA" Have a good friend here in town that is local line-x dealer. The additive is UV resistant and keeps a shiny look.
