Need a new Muffler

My Exhaust rotted fore and aft of the Muff. I want to replace with 4" but due to a new deck project and SWMBO's plans for a expensive vacation I'm thinking that I will replace what I need with 4" and upgrade the Muff, Not for sound, but for mileage, if it sounds good too, all the better.

Will it work? Will it help? What's a good Muff for mileage?

Perform a search on Donaldson or Nelson and you'll find lots of quality reading.

Yup, I am running a Donaldson and it's given me a solid 1 mpg. Sound good like a big rig tone, but not too loud.
