Need some lugnuts like this one pictured. 32 of them. Are they pretty common and what might be the price? thanks

That is known as a "mag" type of lugnut. Back in the day, wheels like Cragar S/S used them, hence the name.

To get new ones, you need to know three things..

1)diameter of the thread, ie. 1/2 or 9/16
2) length of shank. Measure the shoulder from end of nut up to where the washer seats against the head
3) diameter of the shank.

I've ordered them from Summit Racing many times. They sell Summit brand lug nuts for about a dollar each, with washer.

Most of your pepboys, advance, autozone, etc should have them. Any tire shop that does alot of wheels should have them. I picked up some for a set of rims I put on my chevette a few years ago at the pepboys down the block. 20 bucks. However you may want to shop for something a little more heavy duty maybe if its for your truck. I don't know if lug nuts have capacitys on them.

I've got a set of old 16.5" wheels that use lug nuts like that and I've had a H... of a time finding some so the wheels and tires just sit. The holes in the wheels are 7/8" diameter so the shank of the lug nut needs to be 7/8" OD. They dont seem to be made anymore. All I can find is smaller diameter shanks.

I just picked up 32 of those for my truck. I have a set of Western Hurricanes that I am using. As said earlier, you need the stud size and the shank length for your rims. Mine were about 50 bucks for the set of 32. Let me know if you help getting a set.

The stud size is 1/2x20 on my 90 Dodge and the shank length needs to be somewhere around 5/8" inch as that is how thick the wheels are, but 1/2" would do. If you have a source for some that are 7/8" OD, I'd very much appreciate a reference.

Can they be got in different colors? Like black? I'm trying to eleminate all the shiney parts on my truck. The original LNs are fine but don't protect the end of the exposed threads.

I will stop at the parts place on the way home tonight and check for 1/2x20 with a 7/8 diameter shank that is 5/8 - 1/2 long. The lugs that I got were 1/2x20 with a 3/4 diameter shank 5/8 long. Double check the hole diameter of your rims, 7/8 seems a bit big, hopefully someone didn't hog them out.

I go them at a local performance parts shop here in RI called The Drivers Seat. They are right at the top of the street, so stopping in is no problem.

I'll also check about other colors.

Thanks a million for checking! I double checked the diameter and it is in fact 7/8". That's what has been my problem. I'm in AZ and have not been able to find any that diameter either here locally or on the net. I've rounded up a couple (and am on the hunt for a couple more) just old 16.5" steel rims to put the tires on. At least that way I can salvage what is about a new set of tires. I bought the tires and rims not knowing what a pain it would be to find lug nuts.

The largest shank size listed for 1/2x20 is the .75 (3/4) diameter. There is a lug with a .80 diameter shank, but it is only available for 14mm, 9/16, and 5/8 studs. .80 is still shy of the .875 that you need.

I hate to say it, but I think someone might have drilled out the holes on you rims. It is actually pretty common - some of the newer chevy/gmc/ford trucks have much larger diameter studs, so guys will try to drill out their old style rims to try to make them fit and then realize that it's not going to work.
