need a little help with codes and no power problem
hey guys,
This one is for a friend. He has a 04 100% stock that gelded up big time a week ago. He has run a couple of cans of anti gel through the system and has changed his fuel filter twice. Now he can drive the truck in town but has low power. The truck will barely get up to highway speed. He has 3 codes 148-483 and 521. I would have to guess that his in the tank pump has gone bad but why the other codes?
Any help would be appreciated<

Did clearing the codes make a difference?
Could be water in the fuel still? Try fresh fuel yet?
I'll agree with you tho...sounds like he's not getting good fuel pressure...

My next step would be to check the fuel pressure...
Can you hear the lift pump when the key is turned on? How about the FCA ticking under the hood?
Sounds like the CP3 is pulling the fuel if he can run at low speeds but has no power when he tries to get up to highway speed...
