i need a little advice from the peanut gallery

i have an 06 larime 5.9 4x4 megacab with 67k miles. i want to go to a dually. i am having a hard time finding a low milage 5.9 megacab dually 4x4 in my area. i drove an 08 megacab 4x4 dually with 35k miles and it flet like a dog compared to my 5.9. not sure if it was the difference in auto trans or not but i am just unsure of the 6.7 and all of the emission crap.

my main reason for wanting a dually is i just bought a heavier toyhauler and would feel better towing with a dually.

got any advice?

Put a dually rear under it, buy a bed, and be happy.

There really isn't much of a difference in anything else, and you KNOW your truck.

Go to 19.5" rims and tires. Problem solved.

I agree. You already own just about the best puller on the market, and you know it well. You can change out the rear axle and fenders (or bed) for a lot less than you would pay to swap vehicles. And then you can sell you removed parts and get a lot of your dough back.

DITTO! I like my 2006 5.9 compared to the 2007.5 6.7 I use to own.

put a set of duels under it or just drive it like that . I have used my 3/4 ton on everything and never had an issue . the heaviest load was 38,000 gcw but I keep excellent tires on it all the time ( Michelins ). my nextlevel toy hauler tips in a 17k and has been fine for years

19.5's sound good with a helwig bigwig sway bar, and maybe some timbrens or airbags to help with sagging, i considered 19.5's but went the other way just because i was putting way more weight on the tires than i felt confortable with.

i think 19.5's would have worked for me but i was after a lot more stability.
