I have to send my helper 30 miles away to pick up my utility trailer everytime I need to haul a long ladder for work . I am also tearing up the side of my cab running long trim pieces from the rear of my bed to my mirror.



I'd like to be able to open the tailgate when it is in use and be able to remove it easily. I was thinking of one that slide into the hitch and ran over to the side of the truck and another piece that also somehow attaches to the front of the bed.


My truck is a short bed.
