I'd go with a Spearco at the level of modification you are at. I'm not sure I see why you are trying to go "budget" on this compared to the rest of your truck?
DDP has the Spearcos for <$1200 if I remember.
The stock CAC can fail because it's Aluminum and AL doesn't have the best fatigue properties. The Stock CAC is NOT designed for 50+ psi on a regular basis. When you run elevated boost levels for a long period of time, the CAC will baloon out a bit, then relax back at lower boost levels (think small scale).
After repeated flex, flex, flex-- the aluminum eventually fatigues and you have a cracked CAC.
So what you want is one that's not only very efficient, but one that's physically tough and built to handle high boost pressures like the Spearco is.

I"ll tell you what not to do................. don't buy a used one from a guy on here that says it works and holds pressure good. After paying for it and trusting his "good word!! " I found out it was cracked just like mine was even though he says he tested it . I won't name any names but I'm pretty sure that donkey's rear end knows who I'm talking about. Go with one of the aftermarket ones. Just my extremely one sided opinion. :>)
