Need help with TSB application: 18-037-04 or 18-007-04

As you can see in my sig I have a 2004.5 600. When the temp is down around 50, the truck blows white smoke for a bit and runs rough. I also dont get that great of milage about 13.5 city. (sounds familiar so far right?). I have access to the TSB info so I look at both the 18-037-04 and the 18-007-04 and see that my engine serial # and build date fall into the 18-037-04. I take the truck to the dealer for the white smoke TSB and even reference the 18-037-04, but when I get the truck back it says 18-007-04 on the paperwork and on the sticker under the hood. I talked to the tech and he said that he does what the DRB tells him to, and when the Computer part # was put in all he could do was the 18-007-04. Has anyone else gotten this TSB on the 600? Can anyone shed more light on this for me?

Don't know what to tell you, I complained about the white smoke and overhead mileage calculator like the TSB said and they did TSB 18-037-04 last fall. Maybe try another dealer.

I had mine doen almost the week I got my 04.5, had to tell the techs what to do, and then show them how to update their equipment to do the tsb, but after all that , they did it no prob, sunds like aya either goa a bad dealer or an inexperienced tech.

my 04.5 was done under tsb 18-004-04 for poor cab heat and white smoke at start up, but the sticker under the hood states tsb TSB 18-037-04.

Here's how it goes.....plug in the DRB to the truck, get the current p/n. Take that number and the DRB to the MDS. There in "tech tools" there is a space to enter the current p/n of the truck you are working on. Enter that number and the MDS will bring up any updates available (usually the same number, but the last letter designation will change). It will also show you in a box to the right bulletin numbers that coincide with the update. Sometimes there is only one, sometimes there's a bunch, but basically you cannot pick and choose the updates. You get the latest greatest and that's it. Your paperwork will show only one operation code associated with the flash, as you cannot get paid for each applicable update separately. Anyway.....you hit download and the program is loaded into the DRB. When it's complete it prompts you to close. From there, unhook the DRB, go back to the truck, and then there are prompts to perform the update. If it's SKIM equipped there's more hoops to jump through, but we'll save that story for another day. Oh, by the way, was he nice enough to "enable" your high idle feature?
