Need help routing wiring harness for Commander

I'm trying to button up my Commander install and would like a little advice on routing the main wiring harness. The pyro harness is a no brainer and I have it done. What I need help with is the tranny temp sensor wire, map sensor wire and coolant sensor wire. Where did you guys route yours? Did you route the tranny wire over the top of the transmission then up the drivers side of the engine block, then across the engine to the map and coolant sensors? Thats how I have mine laid out but it doesn't look like the tranny wire is going to reach the sensor. So how did you do yours?

I did it just as you described. The tranny wire ends up fairly taught, but it does reach.

Okay, one more question. When you tap into the fuse box how do you get the harness out while still being able to close the lid?

Anyone? Powering the setup is the last thing I need to do. Thanks!

p.s. Sorry for being so impatient!

I just forced the lid down. Dunno what else you could do. I bought mine used and that's obviously what the prev owner had done, judging by the looks of the wiring cover.

BTW, I went under the tranny.

Thanks for the info. I ended up going over the tranny and the length was just perfect.

About the lid, right now I just have it flopped over closed, but not latched. I'm thinking about notching the side of top of the lid/box and pulling the wire through that. I just hate to screw with it if there is a better way.

I fired it up and got everything set, and everything seems to work. Others mentioned buttons that don't work well, and while mine take plenty of pressure, they work. I would like them to be easier to push but I'll take it the way it is. I'll take it out on a test drive in a little while.

It's nice isn't it! As for the wire, I actually added a Painless fuse block & it makes installation of accessories so much easier. Before I had that, I routed it right down the middle of the factory fuse block. There is just enough room there that you can close the lid & screw it down w/o pinching the wire.

I notched both the lid and the base to the fuse box.
