Need help - What is this photo?

Help please. Can someone tell me what this part is? It appears to be a solenoid of some type. It is on the passenger side below the battery and intake. The cable to the rear is disconnected and I can't figure out where it goes. The cable to the front runs around the front of the engine and bolts to the drivers side engine block. I am thinking it is a cold weather heater to help start the truck????
Thanks for the help Rob

Looks like the power for the grid heater. It should be hooked up to the battery. It's hard to know if it was disconnected on accident when the batteries were changed, or if the PO (if there was one) had a relay or heater fail.

Got a pic of where the intake horn attaches to the manifold.

The intake is in the second photo. It is at the bottom of the yellow line. You can just barely see it in the photo. So the cable is bolted just rearward of the intake.

Your sig isn't filled in, so I was thinking 5.9.. but it's a 6.7 isn't it.

Did you do the deletes or did you buy it that way? You buy it used or new?

Thanks guys,
I went back and filled in my info. My truck is a 2007.5 Ram 2500 Mega Cab. I just bought it last week and it was stock. I have been busy adding options that I want. So far I have added a brake controller, installed a spray in bed liner (Herculiner), nerf bars, ordered a power sliding rear window, ordered leather seat covers, and bought a used ARE topper.

I am in the process of doing the deletes. I already pulled the EGR and cooler from the engine bay and installed a Mini-Max. I am awaiting the cat and DPF replacement pipes from Throughbred Diesel, they sent me the wrong pipe the first time.
I figured the solenoid had something to do with the heater but am glad to know it is not a serious issue. Since I am in Florida I probably don't need it anyway. I will hook it back up to the positive battery terminal. Thanks again.
Rob
