It's a 1997 3500, custom plate on 3 years now, pyro, trans temp, boost gauge, DTT trans, 4" exhaust.
The truck has been running great but without any warning it shut off at a 4 way stop sign, as if i turned off the key. tried to restart and it would only trank over, if i touch the pedal it hits for a short burst and dead again. I've noticed that it's not showing on the dash the "wait to start light". I'v'e checked all the fuses under the hood, they look good, replaced the two relays on the fire wall that should push up the fuel sht off solnoid. still the same problem, although if i manually hold the fuel sht off noid up by hand and have somone turn the ign. it will start and stop again when I let it go. Also still doesn't show a "wait to start light". I've replaced the fuel sht off noid less than one year ago. Is it possible that it's bad again or is there a relation with the "wait to start light" thats giving me the problem.

Does the shutdown solenoid stay up once you lift it?
If it doesn't I would think the problem is a wire pulled out in your steering column or a bad key switch.
