???i have a 98 with a 24 v motor and i keep hearing about this kdp issue .what is it and what should i do. ihave a 2500 standard trans thanks!!

I believe the kdp was for 12v only. Not sure?

Do a search on this, or check out www.turbodieselregister.com there is gobbs of information about this there, goto the 12valve fourm, the thread is right at the top.<br><br>Later, Rob

???wonder how you can tell if my motor has the kdp or not ,only have about 32,000 on motor and want to make sure it dont fly apart. thanks!!

The DP is there whether or not it will fall out and become a KDP is uncertain. I've found the DP more of a problem on the 97's ... I've hit 2 and had to drill the front cover on one to tap it back in .... If you want a warm and fuzzy ... then do the fix.

Ok, let me reword my previous post, the inferior COVERS are on the 12 and 24v until sometime in '99, and there is noway to tell if you do have one or not. Like said above, to be safe, do the fix.<br><br>Later, Rob
