Need help with bullydog powerpup and TST R 49

I need some info on an early 04. Put a bully dog power pup on it and stacked it with a TST R49. Well the problem is no matter where you set the TST with the bully dog power pup there is ALOT of popping and cutting out under load

With the tst on 1-1 and the bully dog powerpup set on 50horse its fine but not much power
The truck has a FASS 150 on it, What do you all think?????

Thanks for all the help!

Shaun

I would have to say its in the TST. Just not sure exactly why. The timing on these trucks is funny and I am not familiar with the '04. Does the R49 have the adjustable timing feature? If so, back the timing down and I think the problem will go away when stacked.

its timing. adjust the timing. turn it off if you have to.

if its a true 04 not an 04.5, try a Diablo. They have a stacker tune. for an 04.5, the Triple Dog is a much better buy.

Not sure why you are stacking 2 big power makers on a stock turbo....

Took the bullydog off and put the timing to 3 on the tst and its still doing it just not as bad . you can drive it without it popping and cutting out but the gas pedal is very touchy now and it is throwing P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor Performance and the check engine light comes on

that normal for the tst to throw that code you might be draining the rails or it something wrong with that tst. The first tst I had own had a problem cutting out and popping with white smoke I put in the bypass plug and it still did it so it was something with wiring harness. I send it back and got my money back then about a month later I bought another one used and give it a try and that one did not it.

I had a similar issue a while back. My TST occasionally changes settings by itself. My cause for popping was the RP was too set too high. Can't remember what the number was but it was extremely high. I lowered the RP level to 2 and all was good. I usually run it on 3/6 on stnd. I'll shut the truck down on power level 3 and when I turn it back on, it's at level 8. Now I can't even change the RP now.

TST has been very helpful and I'm sending it in to be reflashed today. Has anyone had similar issues?

rat my 05 would throw the code alot. I would see some cut out and popping on the higher levels 5 or more on the hp settings. this was stacked with a power pup also. I am seeing the popping on my trk now on really low levels.
