I Have a 97 Cummins Turbo Diesel it shuts down at random times in the drive way just backing up but now more recently it shuts down on the high way when coming to a stop at the stop lights need help dont know what it could be can anyone help thanxx

Does your "rev limiter" work?

Can you take your foot off the clutch in 1st with no add'l fuel and have it take off fine?

whats ur idle set at? bump it up alittle and see if it helps.

Its An 97 12V auto 5inch exhaugst intake and nothing else im not sure what my pressure is or anyhting but i do hear a clicking idk what its from it will just shut down how do i turn up the idle thanxx

my 97 did the same thing when i got it. u need to bump your idle up just a hair big. it will make all the difference in the world

Thanx alot guys bumped the idle up a lil seems to be running great hasn't shut down yet also took out my turbo silencer ring man does she screem.
