Need to give advice but don't have all the knowledge.
Hey guys. I know a little about diesels being I run a diesel shop part time, but I have a customer that is wanting the BEST way to achieve around 700hp and still be his daily driver. This is a daily driver, anywhere from road trips with his family over long distances to just driving 5 miles to work. He does tow, but no too too heavy. A four horse trailer, and yes with four horses. He also ownes a 28ft 5th wheel. So, with that being said, I CAN'T tell him the BEST and SAFEST way to achieve 700hp. There are several options out their, but being I am in the middle of nowwhere, I don't get to see all the trial and errors of performance mods. So please help. What set up would you go with? As far as the tranny goes, he has made his mind up. Goerend. The truch is an 06 or 07 4x4 with 32K on it. His whole purpose behind this is to have the baddest diesel in town, and just have fun. Thanks guys.

Thanks. I gave him my personal advice on air and exhaust mods, injectors, tranny, fuel (injectors and boxes), air dog, gauges of course. It's nice to see we are all on the same page as far as products and from which company. It seems the differences that are out there are injectors and cam. I personally think that with the Full tranny, airdog, all air mods, studs, F 2.5, smarty, twins, modded CP3 (not duals) that he would be thier. That is the info that I recommended. It nice to see from everyone what has worked and what hasen't worked. Plus, we don't have a dyno at our shop. Thanks for the extra advice guys.

You will need valve springs that much boost is to much for the stock springs and will hold the exhaust valves open w/ the stock springs which will make contact w/ the piston

What do you mean by this? There are tons of people running twins, without springs. The springs are more for high rpm application. Once you start running 3200-4000+ rpm you will "float" valves and take the risk of dropping one....JMO..

Yes for RPM and high boost appilcations to, you need springs, and its more 3500+rpm, a stock cummins will run to 3300-3400 rpm stock

If he's hauling 4 horses around, you definitely want to keep the smoke and heat down with twins. (MPI) seems to be what everybody is happy with, although Soulzoo has a ball bearing garrett setup thats supposed to be released soon.
With a variety of aggressive electronics available (Smarty, MP8, TST), I'd stick with injectors in the Flux 2-3 range to get you to 700. One of the Flux vendors can get you dialed in once you've selected your other components.
For the fuel delivery on the low pressure side, people are running Airdogs and Raptor pumps. Some have dual walbro's. Being stranded with horses is no fun, so a spare pump in the toolbox may not be a bad idea.
As far as cp3 pumps go, a stage 2 may not be the "best" way to make a certain 700 hp. The safety factor of having a dual pump setup may be the way to go. In the event that one pump fails, the other pump could potentially get this guy and his horses home.
You'll probably want studs, springs, some type of boost fooling if your not using a module in conjunction with the smarty. A BOE kit is probably a good idea as well.

Hey Guys in regard to the higher RPM's and when you say (Springs ) is this ALL that needs to be done to the Head? Just the Springs , As I am persuing the Twin Set-up and would not mind the ability to Run the Higher RPM Tune,
Just wanted to make Sure that the Springs Alone were Good Enough and no other Items Required ?
