Need a dual purpose S300

Sorry been outta the diesel crowd for a bit. Life and all. So things have calmed dwn a bit and it's time for upgrades. So turbo is first. I am lookin at ultimately gettin twins but not for a while so the dual purpose part is what size S300 will lend itself to twins. With the choice more toward speed. Haven't decided on injectors yet but choice is between Mach 5 - 6.

Probably a 62mm charger would work well, good as a single and will do fine in a compound setup.

you will want to use the smallest 62 you can for quicker spool one you get the twinset. 62/65/14 is my recomendation it will do 500 all day safely and spool pleny fast. you could run your m 5s or 6s and just turn the box down till you add the S400 under it

Only box I got is a smarty. Would the M5's still be reasonable then? Without a box I don't think it would be a problem. Right?

I second the 2nd half of the statement, its a great turbo that drives better than the 62/71 I had previously.

As for the 'dual purpose' part, any turbo will work in a set of twins. Just depends on how big you want to go. If you go with a 64mm secondary, you'd probably want a 80mm primary to match up with it. Thats a good amount of air. If you don't want that much, then a 62 might be more your style.

Where would the 64 and 80 put me as far as power and towing?

80mm primary would put you in the 800+ territory. It won't tow as nice as a smaller set, but there are guys who do tow with it. Mostly CR guys, though.

I still need towing, so I got a htb2 from source in a 62/65/12 flavor. Nice. Laggy compared to my stock turbo.....hy35 lol WOT I cant hit 1k egts so I have lots of air now. When i goto twins I can get a 14 housing with maybe an s400.

So now I want molre fuel since I can support it. With this turbo, a smarty and rv injectors, what would be good next? I am thinking of M4's but been thinking of a fueling box stack. Any ideas?

I have had no trouble with my TST PM3 stacked with the smarty and mach 4's
being that the TST is only fuel I can adjust the smarty for what I want. but there are many others out there with other combo's with the smarty. I really have no clue on what my HP is with my setup so I cannot comment on that.

I love my 62/65-12 S475 setup. It runs and spools awesome towing is never over 1250 and made almost 600hp last time I was on the dyno. I did use some external wastegates to help from over spooling it and to get some more air flow. Overall a great setup for everything.
