Need to Clean PCM Connection?Going into Limp Mode & P0217 & P2121 Codes

I think that I need to clean the PCM Connection? I'm going into limp mode & getting P0217 & P2121 Codes. Each time the check engine light comes on & the truck goes into limp mode.

P0217 is a Coolant Temperature Too High code & P2121 is Pedal Position Sensor Performance/Rationality (APPS) code. These two are obviously unrealted. About a month ago my truck was 'almost' in a flood. It was in 30" of standing water. At first I thought that the wiring connections to the computer ion the side of the block were dry. But now when I look at them, you can see silt, etc. So, I'm thinking that maybe these connections need to be pulled, sprayed down w/ contact cleaner, and then put the connections in & out several times to clean. Finally, blast out w/ compressed air.

Any comments cleaning contacts this way?

you got it! On occassion, it will not stay or go into OD either. The problem is the connectors on the PCM. Contact cleaner, etc. you should have everything fixed if you do that good. There's a TSA on the wiring harness too for our 03 models... addresses the lack of good sealing around the connector that allows them to corrode.

Dumb question, but the PCM is mounted on the block, low down on the drivers side - right?
