Need a bit of A518 Auto trans info

I found a518 Dodge trans out of A 1996 Van the truck it needs to go in is a 4x4 1992 Cummins Will this fit and if so can we change tail housing internals ?

I dont think a gasser trans will work on the diesel.

A gasser trans is totally different. The bolt pattern is different and wont bolt up to a diesel to start with.

Well Now that Just figures lol I hopefully have one coming in next week but kinda makin a backup plan. seeing this is my buddy's daily driver
