It's been on my list of things to do for several months, and as time goes on, I'm realinsing that I have a lot of things that are requiring my time/attention/effort. Does any one offer a proccesing kit at a resonable price? I'd pay 1000-2000, but 3K+ seems like rape. I've even thought about even contracting someont for it. Any body got ideas?

I think you need some more research , I have not seen any quality [ non over priced processors ] that did not cost at min. 5-7 grand , most common , with the best reputation is Bio-Pro , there smallest is about $10,000 .
The one that go for about 2-4 grand , all that I have seen a plastic tank units , the cost is too high for what you get , besides the issue of they will not take much heat [ you need about a min. 140*F , and from what I remember , the tanks are good to about 150-160*F ] .
So the way I look at it is , 2 ways , if you have the money & not much time , get a automated processor like the Bio-Pro .
Or if you have more time than money then build your own , the Appleseed is the more common , but now I am building a GL method processor .

This site is part of the apple seed forum , the next is the same site but is about the GL method on that site .

The smallest Biopro (the 150) is about 6k. Still not cheap.

Make your own appleseed and save your money.

Our chemist has been using plastic tanks for 4 years without problems. You need to get the highest Specific Gravity tanks. Contact Jason at evolutioncam@aol.com. He can give you a price on tha processor that will do 250 gallon batches. Any replacement parts such as heater elements are off the shelf. Keith

My question is if you don't have enough time to build your own processor what makes you think you'll have enough time to collect the WVO to feed it?

collection for me takes under a minute to suck up 60 gal its the processing that takes alot of time mostly waiting it is over all pretty time consuming hobby
