need and opinion please..

A buddy of mine is trying to sell his mustang and a guy offered to trade him a 95 ext cab 12v auto long bed 2wd with 100k on body and 3k on rebuild trans.. I don't know what the body condition is or anything else but I am sure its not in too bad of shape or he wouldn't consider it. He is asking 6K for the mustang do you think he would be able to sell the truck for that much? He needs to get rid of it kinda quick because hes a little tight on cash at the moment so keeping it isn't really an option... Thanks in advance!

The truck and the mustang are both attract specific buyers and sellers. He does not plan on keeping the truck so I would say don't do it. If he wanted to keep the truck, then yes it may be a go.

He knows what he has in the Mustang and can talk the sale of it clearly. He does not know the trucks reliability factor and history as well as his own car and may not be able to talk the sale of the truck as well. If that makes sense.

Not to mention it is a 2WD.

I think you would have a heck of a time getting more than 4K for that truck unless you have plenty of time to wait for the right buyer.

If he's going to keep the truck, yes. If he just needs the money...sell the Mustang.
