NAV system with Satellite on '06 ?

NAV system with Satellite on '06 ?
Does the '06 version of the NAV system has SAT radio capability ? I don't see the "tab" on my screen.

Is it something I can add with newer software, plus adding a satellite antenna, etc ?

You have a mode button correct?
It should be able to toggle between am/fm, cd and sirius if you install a factory sirius unit...

Mine has Sirius. I thought they all came that way, but maybe not.

Does yours have the antenna, a little puck ahead of the center brake light?

If yours is the REC model like mine it has sat radio. Also mine came with U-connect.

It may not show the tab unless you have the satellite reciever hooked up to the back of it. The one in my "Old" 08 truck even had a tab for the VES

I have the VES but no tab for Sat and no antenna on roof.

Where can I find out about the installation besides talking it to a dealer ? Also can I get XM or do I have to have Sirius ?

My best guess would be you would need the sat equip from the dealer? I assume the head unit would recognize it?

It appears to be a sirius receiver, but the two have merged (you can get Sirius plus the best of XM).
