Drag Race - April 11 - Rockingham, NC - be there or be square! Details to come! New nonos 5000lb class, New Go Green Challenge along with last year's classes!

Along with some give-aways and purses paid at the race! The usual fun and frolic

Do not think I will be able to make it to this. I will be at a formal USMC school, mid march to mid may.....bummer.

I am sure a good contingent of NCDTR#18 Members will be at this event.
I know that I will be there.

Gonna be another long one. This happened about two years ago. I can remember sleeping in a lounge chair for an hour or two between Mopars and the diesel event later that day. [laugh]

i was talking with Dunbar a few days ago to line up the dyno for OBX III and he told me this year at the rock ,diesels are part of the event,not afterwards [guitar][guitar][guitar]

I will be very glad if that's the case. But I know the Mopar club that organizes the event is gonna be screaming mad when all the duramax and powerstroke trucks start running. [laugh]

Yeah Keegan, your right, they won't like that at all![laugh] BTW,....I still need to race that one guy that beat you and I back in 2002 when I broke my output shaft on the 2002 at the staging lights. He now has a silver Quad Cab SRT-10 Viper Truck. So,...we will have to look him up down there if he comes. I was told he has done a bunch of work on the engine too.

If I have my truck done by then(with my wifes problems I don't know when she won't need my help anymore) I'd like to race him too really put him in his place, not saying that you John can't(you can by all means[laugh]) Everyone that I have talked to seem to think my truck will run in the 10s on just #2 if I can get it hooked up. (I don't know about that:(:(:()

Let see how Heidi is doing when I get her home next week:(. What they did to her makes me as MAD as I've ever been in my life[verymad][verymad]

Please pray for her, see needs all the help she can get. I hope with alot of praying she may keep the use of her arm:(:(:(

There is no reason why that "rocketship" of yours shouldn't be able to hit the 10's!;) As far as that guy with the Dodge Ram SRT-10 QC Viper Truck, he was "working on me" pretty hard a couple of years ago about it. Unfortunately, we were never able to "line our trucks up." But, I was able to beat Charles in his Viper SRT-10 SC Pickup with my measly 475 H.P. 2002,....
so I seriously doubt the guy can stay with my 96'. But,.....we'll see Cris........
If he takes me out, you can run him.[laugh]

And as I told you, Heidi has been in our prayers Cris!;) If there is anything we can do, please let us know.

We've been pretty busy working on Brian's truck over the last couple of weeks, put it on a diet. It's going in today to have his cage put in, we got his block back from the cleaner so we'll start getting it ready for reassembly soon.

We're going to also have another racer in our crew! Brian's wife Sandie bought a nice little 2wd 12 valve that had a Suncoast transmission already in it. She's real excited about racing this year so ya'll make her fell welcome when you see her at the track!

Look forward to April 11th to see everyone from NADM. Thanks NADM for what you do!

Well we plan on being there but since the truck only runs 16s and the wife wants to play in here Charger we are putting it in this year. My truck will be there attached to the 5th wheel.

Just made the camping reservations so me and my familiy will be there.

Hey guys, a bit of an update.

Yes, we are running during the MATR show. The diesel classes will be added just like we have done in Atlanta. I reminded the track that we have chevy's and Fords too and he says it's no big deal.

We are planning a little informal get-together Friday night at the track. There is not a test and tune, but since the event starts early Saturday we decided to fire up the grill and provide something to eat. So come on out and enjoy a little pre-event fun.

We will also have some diesel vendors there.

Looking forward to kicking off the 2009 season's DTech Drag racing series at the Rock!

Did they tell you no test and tune? it is on the flyer and we always go down and run on friday night before the event. I need to look into this. I need some 1/4 runs on the car before Pinks.

Hey guys. The family and I have a campsite as well by the track,or over the hill. Never been there yet, but anyone who wants to come by our camper and relax or grab a bite is more than welcome. Just bring some chairs. I will have burgers, dogs and some drinks. See you all there.

I hope they have a test and tune because I too have not run the charger on a 1/4 mile track and need the practice.

Yes, I asked this week and the answer was there was "no Friday planned". I did look though and you are correct, they have a Friday test and tune listed. I just sent them another e-mail and will update you when I get a response.

David, I appreciate it. I tried calling them a little earlier, but didn't get anyone. We have always tested Fri night for this show and I hope they have one this time.

No buddy,........I am not coming down with the 96' Red Ram this time.:(
I am waiting on parts to completely rebuild my rear Dana 70 Differential.
With 302,000 miles on it now, it has begun "howling" sometimes when I am running down the highway and has also started "clicking" around corners sometimes.:o I don't want to race or dyno with it until I get that rear differential all fixed.

Not sure if I will make this one or not now, thanks to Superlift. I put by t-case indexing ring on but it needs a different sill that they did not send so it is just pouring tranny fluid out. They said "some transmissions need this seal", guess I am that "some people". Anyway, not sure if I can get the sill in time. Will not take but 45 min to put it back together if I can get it in time.

I'm just now getting my trans to act like I want shift-wise. Getting a new set of tires this Thursday. Going to the local 1/8 mile track Thursday night to dial in the OD shift point and a couple of other things.

If all goes well, we'll see you good folks Saturday and see if we can best my last at "The Rock". :cool:

Didn't even look at the phone till after 1030 last night. And today I have 24 hour duty so I will not be around till 0730 tomorrow. Then on Saturday I am packing up and going camping with my cousin and his fiance.

Hey man, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Maybe we could just take the ring out and put it back together so you can go.

I'm probably gonna leave around 5:30am or shortly after to meet up with the DodgeTruckWorld boys for the convoy down to breakfast at Juggtown.

I'm off all day tomorrow and I'm not putting alot of effort into cleaning the truck. Just a vacuum and quick wash. Maybe try cleaning the wheels again. Then load up the truck before the rain starts.
