N2o intercooler sprayer

Just randomly thinking and was wondering if anyone has tried putting one of these on. Heres how i think it could be used and what it is for those that don't know. I used to be into ricers and first saw the idea there. Its an oval shaped bar that you put on the intercooler and the nitrous sprays on it to super cool the incoming turbo air. It may not do much for performance but for the guys that tow, you could have it activate automatically at a certain egt, or you could do it manually. Not really sure if it would even have an effect on engine temps, any ideas on this

I have been looking at these as well and was wondering if they'd work good. The ones that I was looking at come from DEI and use CO2, you can get the intercooler model or the one that goes inline with the ait intake. I thought the air intake one mounted after the intercooler might be the way to go. But I also wonder if these products were made for the bling wingin' illuminated shift ****, sounding like an amplified bumble bee exhaust crowd.

well if you used one inline with the intake....then that would be a power adder. But the way i am talking about is only to supercool the intercooler.

I have one from DEI, they are $, and the spray bar is small.

You can easily fit it in front of the intercooler, next to the A/C condensor. (The large one)

The rest of the kit is not much more than a NOS kit, with a small solenoid.

I haven't put it on my truck yet. I need to rebuild the motor in my 12,, which will be done ~April. I don't know what it'll do to my EGT's, but I don't think it'll do much. I think Water/Meth, and NOS will do alot more than Co2 will, but it's worth a try, and I allready have it.

Years ago I was running a Detroit all pumped up with big injectors and advanced timing on the cams. It would overheat on a hot day climbing western passes. I put a windshield washer pump and let it spray water on the radiator when pulling hard. It helped quite a bit. The wet transfers heat better than just hot air.

Imagine if you had sprayed freezing N2o on it

The thing that worries me with a system that sprays nitrous or CO2 on the outside of the intercooler is thermal shock. I think you could crack the intercooler doing something like that. I wouldn't waste nitrous spraying i on the outside of an intercooler, CO2 would do just as well for way less $$$.

Spraying Nitrous on it don't sound like a really "COOL" idea, has anyone thought of what would happen if the air intake gets a wiff, how you gonna shut that puppy down or keep it from over reving
What would be cool is to use another A/C system, pipe the air thru it and chill it, kinda like another intercooler, after the first one, what does it take to run the A/C compressor, 1 or 2 hp, but if you could put, let's say 70-80* air into the intake, what would be the HP gain, but what would really be cool is to see water dripping from the intercooler when you where fueling up and have a Furd look at you and wonder what he's missing. . Don't laugh, Einstien was crazier than me.
Liquid Nitrogen might be cheaper, but imagine the size of the bottle required for a fuel tank trip.
