Tyler Tatoo?? Rode hard? This would rank right there with that snickers bar commercial on the Super Bowl!![nonono] [director]

Tyler slept in his OWN bed (my son's actually) and completely by himself as far as I know!!! Unless DuallyDog snuck in there while sometime overnite.[laugh]

Seriously, I did give T a hard time about beating him by 4hp. He knows he deserves it. But, I was dissappointed too.....for him and Rowland. I expected much better numbers from their trucks. I hope they can get whatever issues that were holding them back resolved. I would love to see T break the 500 barrier and RJ break 700.[guitar]

Yeah, it's very annoying. I only have a Heat PUMP, not an actual heater. So it runs the a/c compressor just like in the summer.....and it makes some other weird noises. I don't like it at all. But it does at least work and keep the house somewhat warm.....for what little winter weather we have around here.

got my smarty today...wow, I don't know how anyone with fueling mods and a larger turbo lives without one...best money I've spent in a while. I get awesome timing rattle even when the comp is turned off and when it's on combined with even settings on the smarty. Is that normal? Oh and I got a companion code with a P0602 (an ECM fueling error), said it was normal with non-stock trucks?? Did y'all get the same?

P0602 is meaningless... ignore it!
The timing rattle is a different matter! I switch to the Smarty to get away from edge's timing rattle in cold weather! If you get one with Edge Comp off, I have no idea... but it's not the Smarty, from my experience, at least!

good deal, glad the code is worthless. I only noticed the rattle when I put the smarty on. I've never noticed it before even when it was a cold start with the edge turned on. With those mach injectors it normally runs quite as can be. So it must be something to do with the smarty...hmmm is it bad to have that?

Sure enjoyed the dyno day up in Era!

Interesting to see all of the different trucks and how they ran.

"Driving style" makes quite an impact on dyno numbers; I made eight runs, had trouble making over 15psi of boost, and was able to repeat the conditions during today's testing. Without any extra fuel to light the 'charger, building boost below 1600 rpm is a slooooow process - no wonder I'm used to winding out the engine a bit with the G56!

Hopefully, I'll have enough fueling to drain the rail in time for the next dyno... :D

I think Bob was starting you off to soon. Your truck was bogging down and would finally overcome the dyno and start to slowly gain some speed. You should have been pushing 60 to 65 mph before starting the run. I was starting at over 70 to make sure my trans didn't shift down.

Thanks to everyone who commented on Tracy ( my middle aged son ) He went back to the Dr yesterday and got the OK to go back to school today. I think he is out of the woods now!!

Hopefully I can get my old pile of bolts and rust to make some respectable HP next go round.

Wasn't that a little to slow? Did you have to use your tc locked switch to keep it from shifting down?

On one of my runs, he suggested we try it at 50ish mph right after the tc locked......and for me to just slowly roll into it. It didn't work, my trans just shifted right down and messed up the run. So back up to 70 we went. I know the trans is holding me back......but from 70-120 I can really feel the power and acceleration.

Awesome Rob - I started threatening to bring my GN along at HRP last fall, just to get some of us to try to break some of our stuff out on the track.

Then I decided it'd be a great exhibition to drag the GN through the quarter;
maybe Ardmore will let us line up together - it'd be too much fun! :o And even the loser could still win if the rig survived both the quarter AND the shutdown area.... [laugh]

Sometime this spring, we will probably have an over-nighter at the drag strip on Ardmore, OK.

Is anybody up for a March ATV/Camping/DTR Meet??? I know it was discussed a little bit at this past weekend's event, but I don't know how serious everybody is.

I am VERY serious. I just haven't started the thread on it yet.

If there is no interest, then that is ok. I am still going the week-weekend of March 14?-thru the weekend of 17-18th if anybody wants to join me. My son is out for spring break and im already off from work.

The location is yet to be determined.

I know Charlie, Rob, Brian all have quads for sure. Even if you don't have a quad, it will still be fun to camp, wrench, bs, drink a few cold ones. (same as Sedalia).[coffee]

Possible locations are Lake Murray, OK ATV riding area, Barnwell MT in Gilmer, TX, River Run or Mud Creek in Jacksonville, TX, or even Rocky Ridge not to far from our last event in ERA.......off the top of my head. I am open for suggestions. Kinda depends on if you want mud, woods, trails, steep rocky climbs, or a mixture.

Hello Michael,

It looks like the WE of 3/10 is probably going to be next on the list and will most likely be in Sadelia.

Next week I will probably start a new thread for that weekend.

Sometime this spring, we will probably have an over-nighter at the drag strip on Ardmore, OK.

FLASH!

RJ woke me up. The weekend of 3/10 is the dyno day in Buda and some of the guys are going down there. That means Sadelia is off until further notice.

Roberts ATV ride sounds interesting...............

I saw that thread last night and was wondering if you chose that date on purpose... guess not!

Buda is supposed to be a lot of fun.

I'm up for an ATV or offroading ride... I'm off that Friday through the next week. My spring break is off a week compared to everyone else. If there are more that want to come, I have 2 quads and my yota should be trail worthy by then (depending on where we go  )

Oh well the only time I stepped on it was coming from Mr. President's Supermarket parking lot!! [laugh]
Yeah, I couldn't see what I was turning into. If you hadn't hit your brakes I don't think I would have seen where your truck was. (or where the road was)

Is anybody up for a March ATV/Camping/DTR Meet??? I know it was discussed a little bit at this past weekend's event, but I don't know how serious everybody is.

I am VERY serious. I just haven't started the thread on it yet.

So if anyone else wants to do that that would be sweet to convoy.

Please park down by the highway. I'm sure most of us "normal" folks will be sacked out after your day of BS'ing and the four hour drive to get here. [laugh]

I'm defenatly game for some camping/ATV'n and knocking back a few brewes. [roll] Would be real nice if I have my new 700 Raptor by then, but until then the ol'EX 250 will have to do! [coffee] "Might" even be able to get my hands on an extra quad for someone who is going to be there that isn't going to have one, that is if I'm able to make it but dont see much of problem with that.

Michael,

Sounds like it is pretty much a dead issue now based on comments in the new thread. At least as far as it being a N. Texas DTR meet is concerned. I will be taking my son and camping/ATVing somewhere that week/weekend if anybody else wants to go.

I live in Rowlett, TX. I need to find a good performance diesel shop in the DFW area. Anyone know of one? Want to do some more mods but would like to go talk to someone face to face.
