Is my TC on the way out
Ive been noticing over the last few months that my pickup just doesnt have the "get up and get after it" that it used to. It seems to have plenty of power once the converter clutch locks up but until then its a little doggy. It used to be even before i put the edge on that it would bark the tires if you got carried away with the throttle. The other day i kinda tested it the only way in know how and stepped on the brake and mashed the throttle and to my suprise the tach hit almost 2200 and then settled back to 2000. That seems a bit high doesnt it?
Or am i looking in the wrong place.

1600 - 1750 would be a normal stall with stock engine. The more torque engine puts into any converter the higher the stall. Internally a converter can be damaged and not show.
