bilstein shocks.
progressive rate rear springs (about 1.5" lift), I think they are from carli.
swaybar end link drop blocks.
Maybe an adjustable track bar (if it's worth it) or just a drop bracket.
Custom front coils with 3 inches lift.... I still need to find where to get these and what spec since I'd like for them to ride smooth.

Am I forgetting anything?

What do yall think and how much $$ do you think this will take. Where are some good places to find deals on this stuff.

Also, some 35/12.50/18 procomp xtreme A/Ts on either some forged procomp wheels, AR chambers, or some cast procomp wheels.

Pro Comp doesn't make wheels with the proper backspacing for our trucks. The American Racing Chambers don't either.

Be sure to do your homework before buying your wheels otherwise you could be very disappointed with the results.

Thanks.

What would the proper backspacing be?

5.5" min, 6" optimum on a 9" wide wheel. I recommend avoiding wheels wider than 9".

$450 for coils, wow, they've gone up.

Also, anything other than bilsteins that are more affordable. Was going to try to keep it at around 1,000 for the lift, but can break that were needed.

Thanks again for being the "go to" guy on this for me .

When I get done I'll post up what I got and pics etc for the world to see.

Going to try to do it best bang for the buck, but no cut corners...

You can get Lorenz coils for $400, but the rate is higher than what I'd run.

I would stick with the Bilsteins. They are probably the best replacement shock out there. Going with a cheaper alternative may save you $150 but it's money well spent.

You could save some cash with a track bar relocation bracket then replace the stocker with Thuren's bar later when the stock bar gives you trouble.

Good advice on the track bar.

My concern is hwy handling and will replace it when it gives me a little trouble.

Who would you suggest getting coils from?

Don Thuren. He may be able to help you with the shocks, also, but I'm not sure. If you do order from Don be sure to call him and explain what you're doing so he can get you springs with the best rate for your application. He can handle the leafs also.

Not sure if you were looking for the replacement rear springs or just the mini packs.

the replacement rear spring packs are closer to 1000

while the mini packs are like 350

thinking you can get most of what you want in a system from one of the above venders for your 1000 budget, sans the replacement springs. then just add your track bar and you are done.

Ah, ok I was thinking about the progressive rate rear springs. If they are $1000 that is something I probably won't be interested in.

Will spring packs make it ride rougher?

I might just do rear blocks at 1.5 inches and add the track bar back in if it makes that big of a difference. Most of my driving is on the hwy at 70-80mph.

imho, you dont really need any lift in the rear. 3" up front levels the truck out very well. If you have a bunch of heavy loads, get airbags...

as for the ride, I have had both, mini packs and replacement srpings.

The Mini packs help out with on road ride, expansion joints get smoothed out. Off road they do great as well.

The rear springs take things to the next level. More flex and travel. They just seem to work better. Mine have a overload bump stop I can add back in for heavy hauling. If I hauled allot I would add the air bags like I daid above.

lorenz lets you select the front spring rate you want.

If you have not seen how my truck looks with try a search on me. Lots of pics up. I can post some as well if you want.

So spring packs do enhance the ride characteristics... I'll add that back to my list. I don't care for the jarring ride but can live with it, although I'd go with smoother springs and airbags in a sec.
I like the rear to sit up a little and I'm thinking 1.5 in the back will be perfect, but I'll also search your truck.

I need to search coil spring rates so I go in educated when I talk to the vendors. I'd like them to "match" or complement front and back. Well designed on a budget is my idea.
