My review on the Diablo Predator
Well I got my billit grille and programmer in today and put them both on. I started with the tow mode on the programmer and it was a difference but nothing huge. I drove to town and it was funner with that. So when I got to town I put it on extreme just to see how it does. WOW what a difference. I could be doing 40MPH and still chirp the tires. If I didnt have the posi track in the rear I think it would of broke the tire loose and kept spinning. I cant believe the traction this truck get as hard as the truck is pulling. I did launch the truck from a dead stop with it on extreme. I held the brake and built up the boost and the tires REALLY broke loose and I had to pedal it to stop spinning. I only left it on extreme for a short while since I dont have the gauges yet. This time I with performance and it still pulls really hard. One thing I noticed is that at time it smokes a lot and other times it doesnt. Is that normal? One time while it was on extremem we took off pretty hard and it didnt smoke but then later I had it on performance and I dropped a couple friends off and I was in the parking lot and romped on it a little bit and a huge cloud of black smoke came out.

If you already have boost built, it won't smoke as much. if you have 0 boost, it WILL smoke under acceleration.

I am sure it is no comparison but I did not pay $500 for my set up. A friend of mine has the Triple dog with 2 crazy larry upgrades and his truck is ridiculously fast even with everything else stock. I only spent $300. I ordered mine off of ebay and got it for $300 shipped. THere was a post I saw the other day a guy posted a link for the Predator and diablo power puck for $380 shipped but they was out of stock for the '05s.

lol, thats ok Robert. You will want to start looking for a new tranny soon too. The predator or any other power improvement will soon tear up the stock tranny. The predator is a great starting point for wherever you decide to go with your truck

You think the tranny will hold up with a different converter and valve body?

The stock tranny cooler is more than sufficent (actually very good) so dont worry about that. I think that you should be good with a tq and vb. Just watch the temps on it. UNLESS you plan on doing any racing, then go for the whole shebang, boosted launches will destroy input, output, flex plates.
One thing with towing, think about a different turbo too, I put on the 6280 and I have never even been close to getting my egts into danger zone

Ok thanks for the info. I dont really plan on racing it a lot but i do get on it a lot around town. I have only done a couple boosted launches but I wont be doing to much until I get my gauges. What is to hot on the EGT's?
