My "NEW" wheels

In my never ending quest to be different I decided to go against the grain, again, and round up a set of steel spare rims/tires for my truck. I was planning on experimenting with painting them silver and also green and then deciding which one I liked best but I think I really like them in black. So, here she is in all her glory. Let me have it!!!!!

I had to use the stock size tire because the larger tires overlap the rims and press on the trim rings and they will fly off the truck from that pressure. I found that out when I did this on my "old" Megacab......

I dig it... I like the "government" look.

Thinking of doing mine black, but keeping the center cap chrome.

I don't think there is a taller E-rated tire that isn't also wider. If there was then I think a lot of us would be running them...
I don't mind the stock size tires. It took a little getting used to after pulling my 285s off but I'm over it now. Of course, I have new tires now and the snow is all gone off the streets....

And I'm with you Steve. That look has always intrigued me. With the two-toned truck I have to have the trim rings though or it just doesn't look right.....

I may also have to put my black grill inserts back in now to add a bit more Black to the truck....

It looks like crap without the caps and rings. It looks like crap with just the caps on it too. If the truck was not two-toned then it would look better that way....

The next mod may not get such a good response but it is a very good mod for functionality. I think I'm putting the High topper cap back on. I know most of you young guys like all the bling and lifts and huge tires and such but, believe me, as you get older you stop worrying about all that stuff and you start thinking about what is gonna make your truck easier to use. You can still have a nice truck without all that other stuff on it...

looks nice and the price is a whole lot cheaper than custom wheels and like you said they can be painted to match if you want and the extra chrome is a nice touch

Not my cup of tea, but it's not my truck either
If you like it, that's all that matters!

I like it, looks great. It makes the truck look, "down for business", and it reminds me of a "muscle car" look.
