My New Truck!!! WOW!!!!

Well everyone I finally got my new truck and what a machine it is!! The power is incredible and the ride is really smooth, its quiet inside and out...and best of all is the 22.5 mpg on the highway with only 3700 miles on it. On a scale 1-10 i'd give it a 15 Gotta make this quick just wanted to let everyone know that i love my new truck. And to think ppl want to buy a Dura-crap or a powerjoke.

How the heck are you getting 22.5 with only 3700 miles on it??? Man my luckiest day I only hit 18. You must have got the special edition one that gets good millate. My over head reads about 19 0r 20, but hand calced, only at about 17 or 18. Is that what your over head read, or was that on paper??

Hey I have the same ATV and an older Grizz 600. That 660 is an animal. You can ride like 60 through an open pasture and feel no bumps at all!!! Congrats on the new truck!!

I'd come closer to believing it (22.5mpg) if it was more in the ballpark of the best that mine has ever gotten, which is 16.1mpg hwy hand calc.

Not calling you out, just can't see those #'s in an '06, or atleast not with mine and all the others I have seen posting here about theirs.

I can get 21mpg hand calc. but that is driving 55-60mph and not a hair faster. Trust me, it's freakin' hard to do...

What gears are you running to get that kind of mileage? I have 4:10's and get on average 17 to 18 HWY driving between 65 and 70 mph with my '03 SO.
I would sure like to get a new CTD, but with these prices, I'll just keep mine for another 100,000 and see what happens.

I'm not making up any stories here this is the honest truth 22.5 I've got 3.73 and usually drive around 65-ish 1825-ish Rpm's that seems to be the sweet spot and the computer keeps rising on the milage. and i do all the milage on hand just to make sure since that computer is not that accurate.

I just can't bring myself to believe this one. Them there 06 stories have to many strikes against them to pull that kind of milage. I wonder if it was filled up to the same level both times.(to the top of the filler neck)

What gets me is that they are 4x4's! Imagine the milage one would get from a 2x4!!

I don't see that big of a deal.
Schorb, you say you've got 4.10 gears and get 17-18mpg at 65-70mph. I've got 3.73's and driving slower at 55-60. These trucks are like pushing bricks down the highway. Slow it down a bit and you'd see 20+mpg.

Even though these trucks are some of the biggest bricks on the highway, if i were to go 55-60, i'd get run over! i'm not sure about other states, but if you wanna go anywhere in tx, you drive a long ways! the faster you can go, the sooner you get where you're going!

Kind of the same way in Illinois except the speed limit where I do most of my driving is 55... And I really shouldn't get any more moving violations...
