My MPG's on the way to court

I had a 50 mile drive ahead of me today so I figured I would see what I could get for MPG's if I stuck to the speed limit. Well it was torture but I set the cruise on 65 and 55. My truck averaged 19.9 not bad. But I will never see these numbers again since I can't stand going slower than 75 on the highway. Back to 15.5 average

Well, I guess you have only yourself to blame for your fuel mileage. I just did a pull from Nashville to Ann Arbor, Michigan. I was pulling my 6.5X12 foot flat bed trailer. Ran a consistent 65 to 70. Got 22.1 mpg. At $2.50 a gallon, I can stand to drive 65. Guess I'm just cheap or have more time than money.

I have found that my speed doesn't really effect my mpg too much, but rather how fast I get there. If I ease into it, I see only a slight difference in my mpg.

Mine sucks, I got 16 mpg on my way to Grand Isle, La. for some fishing. I heard that the little overhead display isn't always right. I see it's true at the pump.

Yes 90 in a 65 passing a truck that wouldn't get out of the way during rush hour traffic. So I broke off and went into the multiple exit lane that divides from the highway. I got by him but as I got back ontot he highway and cut over I ran right into 5.0 with a radar gun. He was cool and wrote me a ticket for 75 in a 65 figuring I was from out of state and would just pay it. But I have a CDL so that wasn't going to happen. I got to court walk up in front of the judge and he asked me if I had gotten a ticket in the past 3 years. I said no. He said mail in a copy of my driving record to the court and it would be dismissed. So I left with my paper work and now I have to get to the registry.
