My modifyed rear H2 hubcaps (pics)
Well it took me almost 3 months to do but I finally made the back hubcaps for my H2 wheels. I really liked how H2 hubcaps looked and wanted to keep them all around so this is what I came up with. I got a second set from a DTR member (thanks GRI), first I cut a hole large enough for the hub to stick threw in two of the hubcaps. Second taking my second set I cut all the tabs off the back double stacked and glued them on top of the ones with the hole cut out. Third after a little light sanding I took some bondo and just smoothed out the Hummer letters and also the crack around the side. Last just sand them down, prime and 5 or so coats of gloss black paint and there ready to go.

Sorry I don’t have any pics of them on the truck, camera battery died right as I took the 2nd pic and after bsing with the neighbor, a trip to home depot, more bsing and beers with same said neighbor it became to dark to take a pic, Ill get a quick shot tomorrow and post it.
Let me know what yall think, I don’t think its my best bondo job but hey there just hubcaps.

Thats fricken awsome! That is a heck of a good idea on the stack job. Besides the fact that they are hubcaps, its down low and you won't be able to see much. Since those are black does this mean the wheels are black also? Just wondering....

Wow you must have had to do some digging to find this thread, the PC is still holding strong, I dont think its the strongest PC job I have seen but heck yall saw how much I paid so I cant complane. I made the mistake of leaving the hubcaps on when I got them rotated and the guys at discount put a couple of little nicks around the hole they use to pop the hub off. Next time Ill take them off and just let them rotate. All in all they are still looking good and holding up.

Sorry to bring this back, but I just got my H2 wheels machined out to fit.
I love the way the H2 caps also look, especially after the HUMMER wordis smoothed over.
What type of bondo or material should I use for this?
