My Inspection Plate has a gap in it!

My inspection plate on my (on the left side of engine, behind the fuel pump) is warped at the bottom edge where it meets the block. There is about a ¼ inch gap that is about 2 inches long. Has anyone else seen this? Should I replace the plate, it seems to be made of plastic? I really don’t want to do this; will it harm anything if I just leave it like this, until I replace the fuel pump one day? Thanks guys

It's a lot of work to replace it, injection pump must come off.
If it isn't leaking oil I'd just keep my eyes on it.

That's the tappet cover insulation. It's only there to cut down noise, and it's glued to the tappet cover. Nothing to worry about.

Wanna diesel is right, it is just a noise cover over top of the tappet cover, mine is warped as well.Nothing to worry about.
