OK, now I didn't get the gutter joke at first. But as I reread your post.....Tranny's huh? Intresting that thats what you thought about. Yeah, OK.
Anyways, be sure to label the vacuum lines for the transfercase. Also support the motor. Some say the rear, some say the front. I'd just block both ends of it to cover all angles.

Nice, you're not too far from me. If you ever make it up to Moroso in West Palm let me know and maybe we can meet up.

Those TC bolts are a pain if you haven't done them before. There's a small door in the dust cover on the bellhousing that you use to access them.....

when i replaced my stock tranny with my HTS one is use the opening on the side of the engine for the sprag tool to install the TC bolts make sure that you put a little lock tight on the TC bolts. have fun and enjoy. your truck with love and hate you for it. but you will only love it

good point! I have seen a few stock trannys that needed the flexplate replaced because the bolts backed out.

If your old trans is bad then make sure to flush the cooler and lines really good.

sweet, i was planning on going this weekend for the diesel races and the ford show but I had to cancel. Instead I'm going to spend the weekend installing my trans and doing the pump mod. I do get up that way every once in a while so I'll drop you a pm next time I'm headed up there
