MY Horn Honked itself
Well me and the wife pulled into the drive way ,engine was running i leaned over the console to show her how to veiw the shots on the camera and the horn started to honk. it would not stop until i pulled the fuse. i waited and put the fuse back in and no honking. i have 78k on her now and have read a couple of tsb's on the clock spring thing and am wondering if that is it. I didn't touch the tilt before it started to honk and jerking the wheel around didn't stop it. it is still under warranty but i thought i would get the imput from the experts before i call dc and get it checked. let me know what you guys think.

I've run across this before in some older gasers and in my buses at work. I'm not 100% sure what the problem was, but I was told that for some reason, some type of connection was making contact when it wasn't supposed to be. I know this doesn't help much, but I'll ask the shop at work to see what they did to the bus that was doing that last week.

Ok, I talked to the shop guys last night at work and they told me there is some type of short somewhere. That makes a contact stay "in contact" somewhere in or around the sterring column. They said that if you do decide to try and find and fix the prob yurself, then be EXTREMELY careful b/c of the airbag. That tends to make these jobs complicated. They said your best bet would be to take it to the dealer if still under warrenty or a good mechanic that you know and trust. Sorry I coundn't be of any more help.
